What is RobotaxiON?

As an Acey Specialist you take on flexible gig tasks for self-driving taxi fleets in your city. The three main task types are: (1) Acey Custodian — between-ride interior refreshes, lost item recovery, and on-location roadside assistance; (2) Interior Cleaning & QA — thorough cleaning and quality-assurance checks with photo reporting via the Acey app; (3) EV Charging Assistance — guiding fleet vehicles to charge points and monitoring charging sessions. You choose which task types to accept and when.
The self-driving taxi fleets are operated by Tesla, Waymo, and Zoox — three of the world's leading autonomous vehicle companies. Acey acts as the specialist network connecting trained service providers to these fleets. The specific operators active in your city are listed on the Job Vacancies page.
Acey is gig work — similar to driving for Uber or DoorDash, but servicing robotaxis rather than driving passengers. You work as an independent specialist, choosing your own hours, accepting the jobs that fit your day, and earning based on demand. There is no guaranteed minimum hours and no employment contract. It's designed for people who want flexible, supplemental, or part-time income.

Pay & Earnings

Base rates start at the local pay floor — typically $14–$21/hr depending on city — and peak with fleet demand. High-traffic periods (evenings, weekends, major events) push rates above base. Experienced specialists with strong ratings earn above the floor consistently. The exact pay range for your city is listed on the Job Vacancies page.
Payouts are processed weekly. Once your completed tasks are verified through the Acey app, payment is released to your registered bank account or debit card. Same-day payout options may be available depending on your city and account standing.
No. Signing up is completely free. There are no registration fees, equipment costs, or upfront payments of any kind. Training is also provided at no cost through the Acey app before your first job.

Requirements & Onboarding

No prior experience is required for most roles. Cleaning & QA Technicians and EV Charging Assistants go through in-app training before their first job. Custodian roles require a clean background check — because Custodians work inside fleet-owned vehicles and may encounter personal belongings left by passengers, operators require a verified background. The check is arranged through the Acey platform and typically takes 24–72 hours.
A smartphone capable of running the Acey app (iOS or Android), reliable transportation to reach job locations, and for Cleaning roles, your own basic cleaning supplies (a kit checklist is provided during onboarding). No vehicle of your own is needed to perform most tasks.
For most roles, onboarding is completed within 24–48 hours of signing up — including identity verification, background check (if applicable), and in-app training modules. Once you're cleared, you can start accepting jobs immediately in live markets.

Cities & Markets

As of April 2026, RobotaxiON is live in 7 US markets: Austin TX, San Francisco CA, Phoenix AZ, Los Angeles CA, Atlanta GA, Miami FL, and Las Vegas NV. A further 12 cities are launching in 2026, and 11 more are coming soon. See the full map on the Cities page.
Yes. Sign up now and select your nearest city during onboarding. When Acey expands to your area you'll be automatically notified and given priority matching — early registrations always get first access to new markets.
Not yet, but we're building the UK and EU list now. Waymo confirmed London as its first European market for 2026, and several EU countries are expected to follow. Register your interest on the Job Vacancies page and you'll be contacted when your country goes live.

For Fleet Operators

Fleet partnerships are onboarded in three steps. First, submit a partnership enquiry through our fleet services page — we respond within one business day. Second, we run a brief scoping call to confirm city coverage, fleet size, service requirements, and integration preferences (API or dashboard). Third, we issue a single partnership agreement covering all cities and service types. Most fleet operators are fully onboarded within 5–10 business days of initial enquiry.
RobotaxiON currently operates in 39 US cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Orlando, and more. Fleet operators under a single partnership agreement have access to the entire network — no new contracts or vendor relationships when you expand into additional cities. UK and EU coverage is in active development for late 2026.
RobotaxiON offers tiered service levels to match fleet requirements. Standard coverage includes scheduled cleaning and charging coordination within defined response windows. Premium fleet agreements include guaranteed response times, dedicated Acey Specialist pools for your fleet, priority dispatch during peak periods, and a named account manager. All tiers include photo-documented quality assurance reports and a consolidated billing dashboard. Specific SLA terms are agreed during onboarding and are fleet-size and city dependent.
RobotaxiON fleet pricing is structured per-service rather than as a flat retainer — fleet operators pay for completed tasks (cleaning sessions, charging assists, readiness checks). Volume commitments unlock lower per-task rates. Pricing varies by city, service type, and fleet size. There are no depot or infrastructure fees. A single consolidated invoice covers all services, all cities, each billing cycle. Indicative pricing is shared during the scoping call after enquiry.
RobotaxiON is building API integration for fleet operators to trigger service requests, track task status, and receive quality assurance data directly within their own fleet management platforms — currently in development with our first fleet partners. Operators onboarding now are coordinated directly through our operations team while the platform tooling is finalised. Webhook support and custom reporting exports are on the roadmap for premium fleet agreements.
RobotaxiON supports all major autonomous vehicle platforms including Tesla Cybercab, Waymo One, Zoox, and other Level 4 autonomous vehicle fleets. Our Acey Specialists are trained on the specific requirements of each vehicle type — including charging connector types, cleaning protocols for sensor arrays, and readiness check standards. Fleet operators running mixed AV fleets across multiple manufacturers are fully supported under a single partnership agreement.
